Each firm's back office is deployed separately, with its own database. Your matters are never co-resident with another firm's.

A dedicated deployment

Your instance is provisioned for your firm, with its own application, its own database and its own credentials. There is no shared-tenant database in which a query bug could reach another firm's matters, because there is no other firm in it.

Where it runs is your choice

The public juris service runs in Falkenstein, Germany. Your firm's instance is set up where you decide: hosted in Mauritius, hosted in Europe with the transfer disclosed and papered, or on a machine in your chambers. The four options are below.

Your firm's own juris, running where you decide

Every firm gets a deployment of its own: its own application, database and credentials, never shared with another firm. Then you choose how far your work travels, up to a machine in your chambers that nothing leaves.

A Frontier cloud

The most capable frontier models index your documents, rank the passages and write the answer. Every supplier is named in your agreement, and none may keep your material or train on it. This is how juris runs today.

B Documents in house

Your documents are indexed inside your own instance, so the copy of their words that option A sends out never leaves. Research over Mauritian law, and the models that write the answers, are unchanged. The first change we would make.

C Restricted matters local

A matter you mark restricted is kept, indexed and answered on a machine in your chambers, so nothing from it reaches any supplier at any point. Every other matter, and all research over Mauritian law, keeps the frontier models.

D Everything local

The whole system on hardware in your building, search over the Mauritian corpus included. Nothing leaves at any point. The largest change, and the largest machine.

Access follows the matter

Not everyone in a firm should see everything in a firm.

Roles per matter, not just per firm

Each matter has a lead and its own member list, with contributor and viewer roles. Sensitive matters can be marked restricted, so they are visible only to the people assigned to them, including being invisible to colleagues who otherwise have broad access.

  • Firm roles: owner, admin, member.
  • Matter roles: lead, contributor, viewer.
  • Restricted matters are hidden from everyone not on them.

An admin console your firm runs

Day-to-day account management should not require emailing your supplier.

Seats and invitations

Your administrators add and remove people, set roles and issue invitations directly. Nobody has to wait on us to give a new pupil access on their first morning.

Usage you can actually see

Query volume, which surfaces are being used and by whom, over a range you choose. Useful for knowing whether the thing is earning its keep, and for spotting a workflow that is being run far more than anyone expected.

A full audit log

Who did what, and when. Sign-ins, matter access, document uploads, role changes and workflow runs are all recorded, and the log is readable by your own administrators rather than being something you have to request.

A short list, because finding these out later is worse.

We are a small supplier

juris is built by iSlayer Consultancy Ltd, a Mauritian company. We are not an international vendor with a 24-hour support desk, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we do offer is direct access to the people who built it.

Answer generation uses a third-party model

Retrieval runs on our own corpus. On options A to C, ranking and the written answer use hosted model providers. We name them, and say what that means for your matter text, before you commit anything to the Vault. Option D uses none.
